Magen Am is a non-profit organization dedicated to the creation of essential armed security teams within the Jewish community, comprised of licensed and trained community members whose purpose is to protect the lives of other Jews. Our mission is to train and empower the community to secure itself from within.
Magen Am is proud of our accomplishments, but as crime and anti-Semitism have continued to skyrocket, the work of Magen Am is more important than ever.
Recently released numbers show a continued increase in hate crimes in Los Angeles, reaching the highest levels in 19 years. Additionally, a staggering 74% of all religiously motivated hate crimes targeted Jews.
Magen Am has made a very real impact on the security and protection of the Jewish community. We are the only Jewish, non-profit organization licensed to provide physical, armed security services on the West Coast of the United States. The company operates a number of programs to empower communities to be protected and feel secure.
We are fully licensed and insured, follow all regulations set forth by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and municipal code, and have a reputation for providing high-quality, professional security services.
Magen Am works with political and law enforcement leaders to advocate for community members’ and organizations’ concerns and address security and safety issues. We have been awarded commendations from state and local government entities and enjoy excellent relations with leaders at the highest levels of law enforcement, including LAPD, the LA County Sheriff’s Dept, and the FBI.
Magen Am USA is expanding to multiple states and cities across America. Phoenix, Arizona, was just awarded its license, and the first cohort of Phoenix CTMs have almost completed their training. More announcements to come.
