As crime and anti-Semitism have continued to skyrocket, the work of Magen Am is more important than ever.
Recently released numbers show a continued increase in hate crimes in Los Angeles, reaching the highest levels in 19 years. Additionally, a staggering 74% of all religiously motivated hate crimes targeted Jews.
Magen Am makes a real impact on the security and protection of the Jewish community.
We are the only Jewish, non-profit organization licensed to provide physical, armed security services on the West Coast of the United States. We operate a number of programs to empower communities to be protected and feel secure.
We are fully licensed and insured, follow all regulations set forth by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and municipal code, and have a reputation for providing high-quality, professional security services.
Our flagship program trains and equips vetted community members to secure their own neighborhoods. Through professional instruction and hands-on training, CTMs volunteer their time to provide visible deterrence, security outside of synagogues and community events, patrols, and rapid response – keeping Jewish life safe, strong, and resilient.
Magen Am provides licensed, armed patrols to keep your neighborhood secure. As a nonprofit security organization and licensed PPO, we deliver professional protection, liability coverage, visible deterrence, and a 24/7 emergency hotline with responders ready to support patrols at any moment.
We employ a highly trained, fully licensed, and vetted team of security officers who stand guard outside schools, synagogues, community events and other Jewish institutions.
We offer a number of classes for the community, ranging from firearms proficiency, hand-to-hand combat, verbal deescalation, situational awareness, cybersecurity, and more. Through these classes, we can our mission to train and empower secure Jewish communities.
Magen Am works with political and law enforcement leaders to advocate for community members’ and organizations’ concerns and address security and safety issues.
We have been awarded commendations from state and local government entities and enjoy excellent relations with leaders at the highest levels of law enforcement, including LAPD, the LA County Sheriff’s Department, and the FBI.
Magen Am currently operates in multiple states and cities across America including Phoenix, Los Angeles and Orange County. More announcements to come.
